Course Objectives To gain working knowledge of the theory and practice of urban design.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Understand the physical and social dimensions of urban design and conservation
  • Understand the role of masterplanning in urban regeneration
  • Understand the role of community stakeholders in urban regeneration
  • Gain a practcal knowledge of urban character appraisal
  • Understand some of the seminal theoretical aspects of urban design
Course Description An introduction to the theoretical and practical aspects of urban design and how they relate.
