Course Objectives This course aims to ensure a knowledge about consumer rights and obligations arising from consumer law.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • The students who succeeded in this course; • Can describe consumer rights arising from consumer law.
  • Can explain producers' obligations from producing services.
  • Can analyze consumers' right of choice in case defective goods or services.
  • Can contrast consumer contract types regulated in consumer rights law.
  • Can discuss the protection of consumers from unfair terms in consumer contracts.
  • Can explain consumer organizations and their duties.
  • Can determine competency of consumer courts.
Course Description Definition of consumer, national and international sources governing protection of consumer, code nr. 4077 Law on Consumer Protection, consumer contracts, partial payment, consumer loans, time share, tours, campaigns, subscriptions, faulty products and services and legal responsibility, special rules concerning penalties, consumer instutitions, consumer courts are topics that will be covered during this course.
