Course Objectives The goal of this course is to provide students with necessary theoretical and practical knowledge for psychological research methods. The emphasize is placed on the acquisition of a firsthand experience of scientific research by the students.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to state what scientificmethod is.
  • Will be able to differentiate scientific and everyday approaches to knowledge.
  • Will be able to differentiate scientific and everyday approaches to knowledge.
  • Will be able to explain the goals of scientific method.
  • Will be able to discuss ethical issues in the conduct of psychological research.
  • Will be able to make literatüre review on a given research topic by using online databases.
  • Will be able to list descriptive research methods in psychology.
  • Will be able to use the APA style effectively when writing a research.
Course Description This course is planned to introduce students to the scientific method, ethical issues in psychology research, observation and survey research from descriptive methods.
