Course Objectives | The aim of this course is to familiarize the student with the historical background, structure, actors, ideology and dynamics of Turkish politics. |

Course Description | Topics to be covered include the historical background, the early republican period, the single-party rule, transition to the multi-party period and the Democratic Party rule, the 1960 military intervention and the political context of the 1960s and 1970s. |
