Course Objectives The main aim of this course is to enable students analyze the critical approaches of feminism, LGBT movement and critics of queer theory to liberal rights theory and to encourage students to think and discuss the relationship between gender and law
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Discuss the relationship between gender and law by using the conceptualizations developed by feminism and queer theory.
  • Make a discursive analysis of the struggles of rights on gender, sexual orientation and gender identity.
  • Identify the forms of discrimination against women and LGBT individuals in society.
  • Explain the use of legal protection mechanisms as a tool to eliminate gender-based discrimination.
  • Diagnose gender inequality in legal regulations and practices and produce solutions for them.
Course Description This course raises awareness of students about the reflections of gender inequalities in law.
