Course Objectives The aim of this course is to examine the basic concepts and institutions of constitutional law in the light of the principle of "supremacy of the constitution". For this purpose, the issues that distinguish constitutional law from other branches of law in terms of both content and method will be discussed.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Explain the basic concepts of constitutional law.
  • Define the functions of the constitution and the concept of the supremacy of the constitution.
  • Discuss the issues of state, democracy, government systems, constituent power and electoral systems from a constitutional perspective.
  • compare constitutional rights and freedom regimes and their protection methods.
  • classify constitutional justice models.
Course Description In this course, the concept of constitution, types of constitutions, constitutionalism movements, the making and changing of constitutions, the concept and types of state, government systems, the concept and types of democracy, election systems and constitutional jurisdiction will be examined.
