Course Objectives At the end of this course, the students are aimed to learn the characteristics of childhood 0-6 age period and necessary concepts and theories about this turn.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • define the concepts and theories related to the 0-6 year age,
  • explain the factors that affect growth and development to the 0-6 year age,
  • evaluate physical growth in 0-6 age period,
  • define normally deviations in the child's growth and development process during 0-6 years of age,
  • list nursing interventions (protective, therapeutic, rehabilitative) that can provide the health integrity of the child under threat.
Course Description This course covers the description of growth and development, theories of growth and development, specific physical, emotional, social, cognitive development and normal deviations from 0-6 years of age and behavioral disorders frequently seen in childhood.
