Important Explanation About Elective Courses

There are 8 elective courses in the curriculum of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising. In order to graduate, students must take:

     - 6 courses from departmental electives,

     - 2 courses from nondepartmental, faculty or general university electives.

Important Explanation About GEC Courses

Public Relations and Advertising students are liable to enroll for 10 GEC (General Education Course) courses in order to graduate.

GEC courses should be picked;

- 1 out of "Natural and Life Sciences”

- 1 out of “Mathematics and Computer Sciences”

- 1 out of “Social Sciences A: Economics”

- 1 out of "Social Sciences B: Humanities and Social Sciences" 

- 4 out of "Social Sciences C: Arts and Communication" (4 fixed courses = MMC 101, MMC 220, MCS 360, PRA 110)

- 1 out of "Social Awareness and Ethics"

- 1 out of "Innovation and Entrepreneurship"


Important Explanation About PRA 485 & 486

Prerequisites for PRA 485 - Communication Agency I

PRA students who have successfully passed at least three of the following courses; PRA 204, PRA 304, PRA 320/BA 324, PRA 307 and PRA 301; can submit to this course.

Prerequisites for PRA 486 - Communication Agency II

PRA students who have successfully passed both PRA 485 course and from three of the following courses, PRA 204, PRA 304, PRA 320/BA 324, PRA 307 and PRA 301; can submit to this course.


Important Note for students enrolled in PRA 321

Students who take this course must be enrolled in GD 403 - Advertising Design and Art Direction course as well.
