Increasing tourism opportunities in the world and decreasing flight costs have increased the turnover of the aviation industry in Turkey from 2.2 billion dollars to 22 billion dollars in the last 10 years. In the past ten years, the number of people employed in this field has tripled. More technical staff will be recruited for reservations, ticket sales, baggage, apron operations, in-flight services and flight operation at newly opened airports and those planned to be opened later. The Aviation Ground Handling Department was established to train individuals who will meet the needs of both the public and private sectors in this regard.
