Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to explain monetary theories, policies, and money per se.
  • Will be able to discuss the monetary reasons of economic crises.
  • Will be able to analyze the relationship of Turkey with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
  • Will be able to explain the functioning of the Central Bank and its conduct of monetary policy.
  • Will be able to discuss the reasons of inflation and its impact on the economy.
  • Will be able to analyze issues related to monetary unions, especially the Eurozone.

1 To have a sound knowledge of the quantitative and qualitative methods that will help to examine the premises of different theories for an applied subject so that a contribution to solving current economic problems can be made. X
