The undergraduate program of Department of Mechanical Engineering aims to give extensive engineering and materials science education with a strong knowledge about problem solving, numerical analysis and design of machinery. The graduates will be professionals who can understand the needs of the era rapidly and shape the design criteria, accordingly. In the program, the students will combine the knowledge of materials and machinery and will gain the skill to lead the design and planning phase of engineering projects.
In the first two years of the program, there will be basic core courses and engineering drawing courses. From the third year of the education, there will be technical courses and elective courses from a wide spectrum including an introduction to new emerging technologies such as nanotechnology to encourage students to specialize in different fields.
