Legal frame and laws regarding sports are content of this course


This course involves fundamentals of business administration, basic concepts, and functions of management, sport organizations, their structures and principles of management, human resources management, leadership, organizational culture, and organizational change. Students will be provided knowledge about how sport organizations are configured and managed, which talents and competencies are required for the positions in sport organizations. 


The course will involve international sports circles, organizations, federations and leagues; principals of governance in international sport organizations.


Financing sport organizations and investments and accounting applications in sport organizations are the basic topics of this course. Basic accounting concepts, accounting records, auditing, preparation and presentation of financial tables and end of period procedures will be covered in detail. The course aims to teach the students how to effectively use supervision tools and to ensure sufficient cash flow in sport organizations.


The basic issues to be covered are basic principles, concepts and processes of economics, social demand and supply for sports, sports industry, sports sector, consumption and investment in sports, contribution of sport investments to economic development of nations, sport expenses and costbenefit analysis. The course aims to provide the students with knowledge about complex theories of sport demand and supply, evaluating and applying research findings about the issue and analyzing current problems of sport economics


The course involves topics of strategy formulation, application and evaluation in sports organizations as well as evaluating and analysing sport markets


The course analyzes problems regarding sport sponsorships and sport marketing. It covers sport marketing and its effects on amateur and professional sport organizations both in tactical and in strategic aspects. Tactical aspect involves the examination of methods for profit maximization and the issues to be addressed are pricing, promotion, distribution and differentiation. Strategic aspect covers identifying marketing competencies, determining target markets by using those competencies and establishing a marketing strategy. Creating sport products and services that meet consumer needs and wants and the operation of marketing principles in sport organizations are among other issues to be covered.


The course examines the effects of psychological factors such as motivation, trust, anxiety and concentration on sports science and sector. The course covers personality and motivation, stress and anxiety, group dynamics, rivalry, leadership and effective communication, determining targets and concentration, trust in oneself, unhealthy and addicted behaviors, burnout and exercise overdose topics.

BA 509Human Resources Management

Issues in the strategic HRM will be covered as well as the HRM activities like HR planning and recruitment, hiring, training and development, compensating, performance appraising, career and succession planning, and their interaction with each other.


BA 565Innovation and Creativity


This course examines the theory and practice of promoting innovation in startups and existing firms. The main topics include: the workings of the process, managing and organizing innovation in existing firms and building innovative organizations. The course designed to provide students with a basic understanding of how innovative activities of a firm are managed by developing students’ understanding of how firms use innovation and creativity in order to position themselves strategically on the competitive landscape.


BA 596Leadership Seminar


The purpose of this course is to teach students about the various ways to demonstrate leadership effectively. Traditional approaches will be highlighted, as well as more emerging approaches, such as transformational and valuebased leadership. Moreover, leadership will be considered in a global context, including how effective leadership practices and differ across cultures.


SM 551Sport Process Management

This course covers the following issues: planning and operation of sport processes; the characteristics of processes in sports business; designing sport services, their concepts, packages and processes; quality of sport processes, capacity management and performance evaluation in the sector. The course basically targets enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in sport processes.


SM 552Ethics in Sport

The course involves ethical approaches to sports processes, regarding ethical theories and their application to sports events. The main emphasis will be morality, rules of behavior and social responsibility in sports.
