Important Explanation About Elective Courses

There are 12 elective courses in the curriculum of the Department of Political Science and International Relations. In order to graduate, the students must take

  • 6 elective courses from of the department, 
  • 6 elective courses either from inside the Faculty or among the courses of other departments.

Important Explanation About GEC POOL Courses

In order to graduate, students of the Department of Political Science and International Relations must take 5 courses from the GEC (General Education Courses) POOLs:

  • 1 course from "Natural and Life Sciences" pool (POOL 002),
  • 1 course from "Social Sciences - B" pool (POOL 004),
  • 1 course from "Social Sciences - C" pool (POOL 005),
  • 1 course from "Social Awareness and Ethics" pool (POOL 006),
  • 1 course from "Innovation and Entreprenuership" pool (POOL 007).               

 

European Union Studies Certificate Program

In order to be eligible for the Certificate, it is necessary to be an undergraduate student of IUE and complete 4 EU-related courses with an average of minimum 2.00/4.00 GPA or 3 EU-related courses with an avarage of minimum 3.00/4.00 GPA (PSIR 201 – History and Institutions of the EU is the compulsory course) offered by the Department of Political Science and International Relations.
